I'm looking at buying a new L3000. Have 6 acres and will use it for box grader for 300' long driveway, bushhogging (5 ft.) and playing.

I want a 4wheel drive, front end loader.

The Kubota L3000 is about 800 lbs. heavier than the John Deere 790. So I was thinking the Kubota would be better for my intended uses.

Anyone have costs they would like to share with me? What should the L3000 4wheel drive w/ front end loader cost -- I understand they have an 800 rebate on them right now.

Thanks.

I have had my L3000dt for about two weeks now and love it. i got the tractor,FEL,wood 60 cutter, atlas box blade and 5'disc for $15,000. . delivered and full of fuel.
i have 17 acres and so far it has done everything i have asked. it is amazing how much you can get done with one.i am heading to my deer leases this weekend to get some stuff done.
i would say you wouldnt go wrong with one. ....

Soarkrebel. Is your L3000 a 4 wheel drive? Do you have a feel for the cost of the attachments? I need the frontend loader without the extra attachements, and was wondering what the cost should be for just the 4 wheel drive tractor with front end loader. Can you provide me with where you bought yours? Thanks. ....

The tractor itself was around 10,500 and it is four wheel drive (only way to go.i just spent 18 hours on it this weekend and the fwd is a lifesaver) . the loader was about 2800. (awesome tool, another must) . i checked alot of dealers and found that a package deal is a good way to go.
i got a woods 60 cutter ,so far no complaints other than it vents alot of gear oil.
i live in ark and bought from timberline tractor in hot springs. i think i talked to every dealer in ark and really prices were close but timberline is close and they did beat the others.
Like i said i spent the weekend on it on my farm and deer leases. it worked it's butt off and did things i didnt think a 32 hp tractor would do. the FEL is a must i'm telling you i had never had one before until this and i don't know how i did things .
for the money the 3000dt is a great buy. ....

I am also in AR and went today and looked at the L3000. I found a used 16 hours (like new) one @ Fiser for 12,900 for the tractor and loader and 600 with a 5' hog. Do you think this is a good deal. If Timberline could beat it I will drive down there and talk to them as I only live in Cabot.

Thanks
Bill ....

bill mine is only three weeks old and i have 21 hours on it! somebody just didnt use that one.
is the tractor FWD ? if so that ain't bad. i don't have my invoice in front of me but i think the tractor and fel was around 13000.
i tell you what call 1800-844-9818 and ask for paul. tell him some nut on the internet said he could beat any price in arkansas on the tractor . now make sure you tell this ok!
see what he does for you . it won't hurt. i also went to the dealer you mentioned i just wasn't impressed . just my perception.
also the cutter what brand ? you can get a agricutter for around 500 new. i got woods because of the quality. you pay a little more but i think you get a better cutter. as much abuse as those things take i wanted a good built one that would last. now if you intend to just cut grass cheap is ok but brush hogs tend to make you feel powerful. so get a powerful tool. i paid 850 for a woods 60 with slip clutch. i didnt want to be changing shear bolts constantly. worth the extra cost.
let me know what paul says and make sure you tell him the nut thing. and also mention the nut says he has a L3000dt . i bet he pick up on who i am. ( and i am not an employee just a happy customer). good dealing.

and just to be fair someone else that beat the dealer you mentioned jimmys suzuki/kubota in camden ar. snookie hollis is the one to talk to . and he is a friend of mine. but i didnt buy from him. (good friend huh) ....

I think JD 790's strut their stuff by providing relatively more HP for the money than most compacts but without a bunch of bells 'n whistles.

I haven't heard anything in the description that I think would give a 790 problems. However, the 3ph capacity might be checked. Some box scrapers and cutters might start challenging the 790 3ph capacity. Lighter might be better if lawn mowing is in the tractor's future, but light generally reduces 3ph ratings. My 24 pro hp/3,000 lbs. inc. loader tractor with turfs manages a 6' box OK and I wouldn't hesitate to put a 5' light-duty rotary cutter on it. However, the turfs do make their marks on the lawn--mostly do to the weight. The 3ph capacity is almost 1,900 lbs.

I don't suppose 790 and L3000prices are comparable, but then you've got to really really line your tractor and I suppose that price isn't everything.

My 3000DT is about 2 weeks old now,and I couldn't be happier with it...Sure it doesn't have all the bells and whistles that some of the others have but..The price I payed for it isn't the same either. The tractor and loader
with R4 tires was 14'552.Hope this helps out alittle. ....
